Notes April 23/25. Verna, Here is the promised table runner. Unfortunately, Shirley cannot bring forth any memorieees of it: none of her children knew about it either. Perhaps descendents of the other manmes might be able to help out with that. After Normal School, Shirley taught for one year at Belle Plain near Portage la Praiie. The next year she applied for and got the job of teaching Grade 7&8 at Rapid City, coincidentally at theseame time her future husband ARd had rented a farm 3 miles west of Rapid City. They wre married on July 8, 1949, thus ending her formal teaching years. I hope this helps with some background. If there's anotheing else, I can help with, let me kow. Sharron Peters.
