Notes This tray was given to my family when we left Strathclair in 1978. We moved to Strathclair from Kitmat, B.C. My father, Peter Bueckert, was the minister at the Baptist Church starting in 1974. He was the minister there for about two years, then worked at the Strathclair Co-op, I think in the farm supply department for about another 2 years. He was not conservative enough for the Baptist Church, and some people did not like the fact that he had a beard. My mother, Barbara Bueckert, worked as the school llibrarian. I attended school in Strathclair from grade 6 to grade 9, and my brother Robert attended from grade 4 to grade 7. We lived in the old Baptist parsonage on Saskatchewan Street, beside Gordon and Myrtle Pirie, when we first moved to Strathclair. My parents bought an acreage from Kenneth Rapley a mile and a quarter from town, and they built a house there, at NE 27-16-22W, with help from friends and neighbours. We left Strathclair in 1978 to live in Kamloops, B.C. The tray was made by Ethel Morrison. She used to make these trays for community members when they got married, or when they moved, or for other special occasions. People payed a small ammount of money to have their names engraved on the trays. My parents used this tray frequently. I also have a tray that Mrs. Morrison made for me as a gift from her. My father died in September 2011 and my mother died in 2022. Dorothy Bueckert Perkin Sackville, NB
