Object Desc Hudson Bay Co. sign made in the 1950s by Walter Gregorash of Elphinstone. The steam boiler came down the waterways by boat in the 1878 era, transported overland by oxen to Elphinstone to operate a sawmill. See more in notes.

Notes The sign was situated by the steam boiler on the west end of Elphinstone. The Elphinstone LUD committee decided to get a new sign. Sylvia Dziver decided to sand, paint, and restore the original sign. It was slightly worn but she restored it to a good state.
