Notes This outseam soft ball was thetype used in the early 1930s. It and a bat was given to the Rapley family by their dad, Herbert Rapley, when he recieved some money from England. It was use extensively by the family of 8, 3 boys, 5 girls, at home on the NE 5-17-22W. This type of ball caused many a broken finger nail and bruised fingers as the outseam ball was more difficult to catch. It was donated to the museum by Eric Rapley in July of 1994.
