Notes William George Lockhart Born 1869 at Penrith Cumberland, England. Died May 12 1940 in Strathclair Manitoba. Parents: James Lockhart 1839-1921 and Barbara Tremble 1830-1898 William Lockhart married Martha Annie Simpson in 1889 at Ormskirk Lancashire, England Martha Annie Simpson: Born 1874, in Carlisle Cumberland Together Martha and William had 5 children: Amy Lockhart 1890 - 1983 married to Charles Bennett 1885 - 1983 Percival Tremble Lockhart 1894 – 1960 WWI Veteran Gladys Lockhart 1892 - ? married to Stanley Cowell, Ward Fredrick Lockhart 1904-1922 Edward W. Lockhart 1913-1973 married to Joyce Vivian Goodwin 1919-2011 William Lockhart came to Montreal Canada in Nov 3 1905, on the ship Virginian. He first stopped in Winnipeg and continued his work within the printing trade and then made it to Strathclair in 1910. Martha’s family came to Montreal Canada May 12 1906, on the ship Tunisian.
