Object Desc John came to Strathclair from Watford, ON in 1892 and homesteaded in NE quarter of 6-17-21. In 1892 he married Annie Deihl from Clinton, ON and ran a livery barn/farmed in Shoal Lake before returning to a livery barn in Strathclair. He had six children.

Notes John came to Strathclair from Watford, ON in 1892 and homesteaded in NE quarter of 6-17-21. In 1892 he married Annie Deihl from Clinton, ON and ran a livery barn/farmed in Shoal Lake before returning to a livery barn in Strathclair. He had six children, five boys and one girl: Loyd, Earl, Mel, and Ernest were still living in 1970. Mr. Carter died in 1933 and Mrs. Carter in 1959.
