Notes Strathclair, Provincial Champs 1961. Irene Parker, Shirley Winstone, Lola Grills, Olive Gamey, & Elsie Wilson entered the Ladies' Curling Playdowns. After many games, they won the right to represent Manitoba in the first all Canadian playdown in Ottawa. In the early years the curlers were not supplied with outfits to wear. Strathclair supplied their units with sweaters and hats for their Ottawa trip. On they went, proudly wearing the Manitoba emblem on their backs. They didn't win but they did quite well.
