Notes This is a small part of the original grist mill stone and you may note the unleveled grooves on its one side, against which the grain was ground in the preparation of meal or flour. The mill at the Bend was lost to fire in 1885, but the mill stone is a solid reminder of our pioneers' industry and assiduity.
